The High Roller is an observation wheel right near the Las Vegas Strip. It’s the highest observation wheel in the world, at 167.6m, and opened to the public in 2014.
It’s located at the end of The Linq Promenade, right across from Caesars Palace.
Tickets prices vary depending on the time of day and if you choose to the option to include the Happy Half Hour (that’s a fully stocked, drink-as-much-as-you-can, bar in the capsule with you). Check out the High Roller website for the latest prices.
I’ve ridden the wheel four times so far. Each time I’ve chosen to ride at the daytime price with the Happy Half Hour option. It’s great to do at night, but by choosing the cheaper daytime prices you just need to make sure that you enter the ride before 5pm. I’ve always waited until the very last chance to board so that it’s got dark while I was aboard.
The in-capsule bar is good value and a great fun start to an evening. I’ve been on when there was just three people, to another time with a full capsule of about 40! Either way the bar tender has always been friendly and very organised to ensure that everyone gets drinks quickly and you get the most out of your included drinks.
