About

Welcome to Viva LON Vegas, a site about visiting Las Vegas.

I’ve started this site to share my personal experiences of my travels from London to Las Vegas. The aim is to provide some useful tips for anyone planning a trip, and hopefully provide an insight into how to get the most from that visit.

I have made over 20 trips from London to Vegas. My first trip was in November 2001 and I have been back nearly every year since (and many recent years more than once!). You can see a full list of my visits on my trip list.

The site came about due to the many requests from friends who have asked me for tips and advise on what to expect on a visit to Vegas. I started pulling together the information in 2008 when I arranged a group holiday with friends to celebrate my 40th Birthday.

Now, over ten years later, I have at last got around to creating a site to enable me to share those experiences, with regular updates from future visits.

I’ll be posting to the site in a blog style with each short post being about something specific in the categories of: Attractions, Hotels, Food & drink, Shopping, Transport and Trips.

I’ll be adding new posts and updating the existing posts over the coming months, especially after each new visit I make. Each post has a Last visit date, so you know how up to date the information is.

I’m vegetarian, so I’ll provide food suggestions for veggies but don’t worry I travel with meat eaters so my recommendations are always suitable for all tastes.

I’ll also be posting photos and tips to Instagram and Twitter, especially when I’m there, but I’ll also dig into my photo archive and post between trips.

I hope you’ll find the site useful. I’m always open to suggestions, comments and feedback on the site, or about your own trip, so don’t hesitate to contact me.

If you are ready to get started, I suggest heading to the Basics page and starting there.
