I love a restaurant with a casino view, and Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill suits me perfectly. It’s located on the main casino floor towards the back of the MGM Grand, overlooking the casino floor and the KA theatre.
Being open to the casino floor means that you really feel like you are part of the casino buzz whilst dining well in a comfortable restaurant.
Although not the most upmarket restaurant in the MGM Grand (the competition in the MGM is fierce), it’s casual enough to feel comfortable and the food is very good.
Booking is a good idea if you want to eat at a specific time, especially at the weekend, but you can be accommodated as a walk-up, if you are prepared to wait. But you can avail yourself of one of their signature cocktails at the bar if you find yourself having to wait.
The cuisine is typically American, more specifically ‘Californian-inspired’. It’s comfort food of pizzas, pasta, burgers and steaks.
Vegetarians are well catered for, go for a pizza or a pasta.
I’ve got two must try recommendations from the menu. For a starter go for the truffled potato chips with blue cheese sauce. Great to share between two or three people.

And the other is from the desert menu, classic chocolate soufflé with vanilla bean ice cream and whipped crème fraîche. Again it’s enough to share between two, although I have been know to devour one myself! I think it’s only on the winter menu, so if you only visit in the summer you might have to settle for a vanilla version.
