Chandelier bar

The Chandelier bar is a striking, multi-floor, bar right in the middle of the casino in the Cosmopolitan hotel. The name comes from the fact that the bar is area is decorated with many glass lights and is also bedecked by thousands of jewels hung in sweeping waves around the bar area at all levels, reminiscent of a chandelier.

It has a casual vibe but people do tend to dress up a little at this bar, especially on the higher floors where it’s popular with large groups on conventioneers, and I’ve often seen some reserved areas for convention groups.

The bar is surrounded by escalators and tubular glass lifts to get between the floors.

The ground floor is at casino level and all the bar levels have seating both at the bar and at a variety of tables. Most of the bar seats have the obligatory slot machines in the bar.

As well as all the drinks you’d expect in a Vegas bar, it also has an ever-changing cocktail menu. But don’t feel like you have to stick to those listed the bar staff will produce just about anything you feel like as there is a very extensive range of spirits and mixers behind the bar.

They do a great espresso martini, which I always finds helps kick start a jet lagged first evening!

Most cocktails are priced at $16. I’ve never seen any happy hour or voucher offers for the Chandelier, but I have been given a credit as part of a deal when I’ve booked the Cosmopolitan as part of a Virgin holiday deal.
