I’ve stayed at Harrahs twice. It’s on the budget end of the scale in terms of price. It’s one of the three budget options I often choose in a holiday deal. Prices are usually comparible to Horseshoe Las Vegas and The Flamingo Las Vegas. It’s in the same centre strip location, slightly further north, right opposite The Mirage Hotel & Casino (soon to be the Hard Rock Hotel)
I would generaly choose The Flamingo over Harrah’s, if prices are comparible, as I think the rooms are slightly better at The Flamingo and you get a much nicer pool area. Harrah’s pool is very small, so it’s better for a winter stay than a summer one.
Highlights of the hotel are the Fulton Street Food Hall and the PizzaCake restaurant, right at the front of the hotel.
I’ve only stayed in the basic rooms, called ‘deluxe’ rooms. You can choose the Valley Tower or the Mountain Tower. My first stay was in the Valley Tower and had a view of the pool area and across the strip. The second was in the Mountain Tower and didn’t have much of a view as it was on one of the lower floors.
I suggest trying to get a higher floor for a better view, particularly if you choose a strip view room. However this proves difficult as these budgets hotels mainly provide self check-in kiosks where the room is selected for you.

The location is in the centre of the strip, so you are ideally situated for easy access to many of the main hotels in that part of the strip. On one side you have The Bellagio, and can get rooms with great views of the lake and fountains, and on the other you have Crystals shops leading to The Aria hotel. Opposite is Planet Hollywood with the Miracle Mile Shops, with Paris Las Vegas, Horseshoe and Caesars Palace not too far away.
