The Flamingo Las Vegas

The Flamingo is fast becoming one of my favourite budget strip hotels. I’ve stayed at the The Flamingo five times now, the first being in December 2019. When booking I find there is usually very little difference in the prices between the Horseshoe, The Flamingo, The LINQ and Harrahs. I’d previously stayed in the Horseshoe and The LINQ, so I gave The Flamingo a try and have been returning ever since.

In terms of location, The Flamingo is in my favourite part of the strip, a bit further north than the Horseshoe and right opposite Caesars Palace. The rooms are a great size and you get a choice of room with a strip or valley view. The first room I stayed in was a Go room with a strip view.

The Flamingo has been renovating their rooms in recent years. On my first visit I had a Go room which is one of their most basic. It was a decent size with everything you need and also has a decent sized bathroom with a corner shower, which feels like a step up from the smaller bathrooms of the similarly priced hotels. The bathroom is very pink, which is kinda expected at The Flamingo!

Although I had a strip view, the windows at the front of the hotel were covered in a mesh as the whole of the front is an advert for the Donny & Marie Osmond show, so you really don’t get a clear view out of the window. This advert was being removed so hopefully on a future visit you may get a clearer view.

For my next visit in January 2022, I stayed in a Flamingo room, which is an upgrade from a Go room. This was definitely a more updated room and I also got a great strip view, looking right over to Caesars Palace.

My next visit was in August 2022, again in a Flamingo room. This time with a view out the back of the property, looking out to the the gardens, pools and the High Roller.

In February 2023. I was back to a Go room, room 26058. This had a great view of the Bellagio fountains. The room was a little dated and definitely ready for a revamp, but I was happy with the high floor and view. This time there was both a bath and a shower in the bathroom.

My last visit was in May 2025, and I chose a Flamingo room again, room 23141. This also had a great view over the back of the property. It’s worth noting that the Go rooms don’t have a fridge, but the Flamingo rooms do.
