Aft Cocktail Deck is a cocktail bar in the Wynn hotel. It has some great drinks and cocktails with a mediterranean vibe, you feel like you could be in the south of France! It overlooks the Lake of Dreams and in the evening you get to watch the show on the lake every half an hour from dusk onwards.
You’ll find Aft on the lower floor of the Wynn. Take the spiral escalators to the right of the Overlook Lounge, which you will find directly in front of you, if you enter from the main entrance. At the foot of the escalators is Bar Parasol and Aft is the patio deck right outside, on the lake.
The cocktails are inspired by exotic locations, Monaco, Cannes, Ibiza, Cozumel etc. And of course you can get any of your favourites too. I had a excellent Bombay Sapphire martini.
Aft also serves some sharing plates to help soak up the cocktails. We had the very exotic looking crudites and dips. And also the caviar fries, which also looked delicious.
Of course it’s all very over-priced, but beautifully done. And very insta-worthy!
One of the main reasons for visiting Aft, or any of the lakeside restaurants, is to see the free Lake of Dreams show. It’s basically an audio visual show on the lake with a big screen, projections and animatronics, all set to music. There are several different shows, each set to a different soundtrack. Look out for the exotic birds singing Lady Gaga and the space themed show, set to David Bowie’s Space Oddity, complete with flying astronaut!
Aft has become a must-visit on my Vegas itinary. I love the chilled vibe and it all feels very up-market and opulent. The Lake of Dreams show provides some whimsical entertainment, whilst you sip the delicious cocktails.
