Blarney Bar

The Blarney Bar is an outdoor bar on the Linq Promenade. There is one reason, and one reason only, on why you visit the Blarney Bar… Frozen Baileys!

Technically the Blarney Bar is part of O’Shea’s pub. O’Shea’s was a casino that existed between the Flamingo and Imperial Palace casinos, from 1989 to 2012. It then became part of the Linq Promenade development in 2013.

You will find Blarney Bar right outside of O’Shea’s pub (now a bar within The Linq), right on the Linq Promenade. The Frozen Baileys is one of their speciality frozen drinks, others include Irish goodbye, Crazy plonker and Piece of paradise.

So what’s so special about Frozen Baileys? Well, it’s only the best frozen cocktail I’ve ever had! I’m not normally a fan of frozen slushy cocktails, and I’m not even a fan of Baileys. But this is just really good!

It’s just the perfect combination. Basically a frozen, slightly chocolatey, alchoholic milkshake. Perfect on a hot day (or even a not so hot one!).

Who knows that’s in it (it’s obviously not just a bottle of Baileys put in a slush machine), but you just have to try one to find out.

It’s obviously popular, as there have been times they have run out. There are also rumours that you can order one from the inside bar at O’Shea’s. Either way, it’s a definite stop for me, every time I pass by.

Seasonal variations

Chatting to the barman one day, I also discovered that there are even seasonal variations. I was there on a September day and they had introduced the pumpkin spiced frozen Baileys. He gave me a taster of that and it was also delicious. And apparently there is also a peppermint one at Christmas. Like I need another reason to visit!
