Popstroke is a chain of outdoor mini golf courses in the US. They opened a location in Vegas in April 2024, just in time for our trip! The company is backed by Tiger Woods, so you expect it to be good.
The Vegas location is at the Town Square mall, at the south end of the strip. It is easily reached by bus or taxi. So you can easily combine it with a visit to the shops and restuarants in Town Square.
We visited on a very warm afternoon, in the hot sun, but luckily there are plenty of fans and misters around the courses to keep you cool. There are two 18 hole courses and a large bar area with bar games and a full food menu.
You can get drinks delivered to you on the course as you play, using their app. You can also keep your score using the app. However, we found it easier just to take the traditional paper and pencil scorecard, as I kept losing track on the app!
You pay one price to enter and stay as long as you like. So you can have as many rounds of golf as you like. You also get to keep your golf ball as a souvenir.
We arrived in the afternoon when it was quieter and managed a round of the simpler course before heading to the bar. It did get very busy later and there was a queue to get on the second course, so we thought we’d save that for another visit. It may have been busier due to it being the opening week, but I would definietly recomend going earlier in the day, if you want to get a round in on each of the courses.
We did end up learning the Cornhole lawn game from some Vegas-based students, which was great fun, so ended up spending most of our time in the bar!
If you like mini golf, t was a great way to spend an afternoon. There are certainly now many new mini golf courses to choose from in Vegas, so we shall see how they compare to Popstroke on our next visit.
