This hotel was formerly Ballys Las Vegas. It rebranded in 2022 as the Horseshoe Las Vegas. I’ve stayed here four times. Twice in 2018 and once in 2019, when it was Ballys, and then the last time was in August 2023. It’s a more budget hotel, but I was very impressed with the size of the rooms, the views and the location. It has everything you need without breaking the bank.
The first three rooms I stayed in were in the Jubilee tower. This tower has since been renovated and is now the Versailles tower, part of the next door Paris Las Vegas. Eventually there will be a walkway from the Paris hotel, but at the time of writing, you need to walk through the Horseshoe to get to this tower.
In this tower it was worth getting a high level room to get an good view. You either get a view south (with the Paris Eiffel Tower in view) or north over the northern hotels along the strip. The downside to a southern view room is that the nightclub under the Eiffel Tower, open on weekend nights, can be heard into the early hours of the morning, due to the single glazed windows.

The last time I stayed, the hotel had become the Horseshoe and I had a resort room in the resort tower. It was on the 20th floor and had a great strip view, with a view of the Bellagio and the fountains.

The pool area is large and has two large pools, with one that’s certainly one of the deepest pools I’ve been to in Vegas. The pool area is a bit of a walk from the main part of the hotel, but the resort tower lifts do take you to the lower ground level. You just need to negociate the shopping, entertainment and food court along the way.

Just beyond the pool entrance you get to the Las Vegas monorail station, which is a useful way to get up and down the strip (if there’s a convienient station where you want to go to).
Although set back a little from the strip, the location on the strip is great, with the Bellagio across the road and Paris Las Vegas next door. There is direct access to Paris via a shop- and restaurant-filled corridor. This is also serves as a convenient route to get onto the strip to get to Planet Hollywood, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and other southern strip hotels. The Bally’s old strap line, ‘center of the action‘ still rings true in terms of the hotel’s location.
