The Carousel Bar is located at the front of the Plaza hotel in Downtown Las Vegas. It’s a great location under the twinkling lights of the entrance to the hotel. It’s right across the street from the Fremont Street canopy and a great people watching spot.
The bar opened in 2023, when the whole of the front of the Plaza hotel was redeveloped. Right next to it you have Pinkbox Doughnuts and to the right, you have the Plaza’s new non-smoking gaming area.
It serves a good range of cocktails and beers and has become a must visit on my trips. It’s a great day-drinking spot, slightly away from the hustle and bustle of Fremont Street.
Their signature cocktail is the Soggy and Sandy, which is served in a variety of novelty ceramic containers. It’s a refreshing blend of Jameson’s orange whisky liquer, creme de banane, coconut cream and tropical juices. Perfect for a hot Vegas afternoon!
I love a good people-watching outdoor bar, even on the hottest of Vegas days, and the Carousel Bar provides just that. Okay, there’s no air-conditioning, so just make sure you got a cold cocktail in front of you to keep you cool in the Vegas heat!
